1. What are the advantages of purchasing a website template?

Price: You get a high quality website design for just $20-$70 plus you don't have to hire a web designer or web design studio. Even if you don't have the time or inclination to customize our designs, you can still save thousands by purchasing a template and handing it over to a professional desiger to customize with your brand and content. 

Time: It usually takes 10-25 days for a good designer to produce a web page of our quality. Now you can have that same quality design instantly, ready for download and customization. In addition you don't have to worry about "if" you will like your design. You can view the preview, examine the layouts and see the animations in action.  Then make your decision before a penny has been laid down.


2. Can I customize the design, layout, graphics and content of my template?

YES!!!  Our website templates include all the source files which were used to create them.  In other words the .psd, .html, .ai, swi, .fla, etc.   This will vary from template to template depending on what was used to create it (for example if there is no Flash in a template there will be no .fla files OR if a template comes from the "Fireworks" category, then there would be a .png file rather than a .psd).  Using these source files you can modify and customize any aspect of the template's design or function.

  • You can see exactly what files come with a given template within it's preview page.  Just read the "Sources Available" line.  
  • Also included are the fonts, sound effects and music used in the demo.
  • You will receive a full .html version of any site which contains Flash.  This allows you to create the site without any need for Flash modifications if you wish.

To sum it up.  There is nothing about our templates which can not be modified or customized.  The only limiting factor is your own personal skill set with the source files provided.  Keep in mind that we can also be hired to customize a template for you if you ever run into a situation where your skills are not up to par.

3. What do I receive when I order a template?

After you complete the payment via our secure form, then you will receive a confirmation email with link(s) to download .zip(s). The .zip file(s) contains the following: PSD file(s), HTML file(s), Flash (.fla), fonts, audio and advanced clipart library. In other words you receive ALL the SOURCE FILES that were used to create the website you see in the preview sample.

You will need unzipping software to open the .zip archive. Windows users may visit www.HotScripts.com or www.WinZip.com. Mac users may visit www.StuffIt.com.


4. Can I get an HTML version of a Flash template?

All of our website template come with an HTML version even if you are choosing a Flash design.  The HTML veresion is identical in design except that of course the Flash animations will be replaced by static images.


5. What am I allowed and not allowed to do with the templates?

  • You may:
    • Build a website or other media display using the template in any way you like.
    • If you are building a website for someone else (ie: web designer for client) you may sell the website you have developed with the template to your client. 
  • You may not:
    • Resell or redistribute templates (like we do) unless you join our affiliate reseller program and sell our products under the terms of that program.
    • Claim intellectual or exclusive ownership to any of our products, modified or unmodified. All products are property of content providing companies and individuals.
    • Make more than one project using the same template (you have to purchase the same template once more in order to make another project with the same design)


6. What is the difference between unique and non-unique purchase?

  • NON-UNIQUE PURCHASE:  Non-exclusive purchase means that other people can buy the template you have chosen.  It will remain in our database for sale to others.
  • UNIQUE PURCHASE:  Exclusive purchase guarantees that you are the last person to buy this template. After an exclusive purchase occurs the template is permanently removed from the sales directory and will never be available to other customers again. Only you and people who bought the template before you will own it.  If you wish to ensure that you are the ONLY owner of the template, just look at the "downloads" field within a template's preview.  If it says "0" then nobody has purchased this design.  You can then buy it at the "unique" price and you will be the only owner of the design ever.


7. Is this a one time fee?

Yes, the payment for your template is a one-time fee without any additional charges. After purchasing you may use the template as many times as you need for one website.


8. Can i pay by check?

9. Is there any return policy?

Since our company is offering non-tangible irrevocable goods we do not issue refunds after the product is shipped, which you are responsible for understanding upon purchasing any article at our site. Please make sure that you've carefully read 'sources available' section. We only make exceptions with this rule when the product appears to be not-as-described on a case by case basis in agreement of the parties concerned. The deadline for any refund claim is one week after the delivery date.


10. I ordered a template but haven't received the download information.

In this case please contact our Billing Department via e-mail (billing@template-help.com).


11. I was billed twice. I received 2 emails from merchant

Make sure that these charges have different order IDs. If it is so, contact our billing department (billing@template-help.com).


12. Is it possible to reactivate my download link if it was deactivated after 3 days?

Yes. Please contact our billing department and they will reactivate your link (billing@template-help.com).


13. Are your templates compatible with my HTML editor?

Any template which includes HTML files is compatible with Adobe GoLive, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Microsoft Frontpage (in fact any html editor). Note that some templates are not html based and cannot be edited in an html editor.   Please check the "source files" listed in each template's preview.


14. What software do you recommend for doing graphics work?

Adobe Photoshop is the world's most popular graphics editing package. You can find more info about Photoshop and download a free trial version at Adobe website.

15. What software do you recommend for making HTML?

We think that Macromedia Dreamweaver is the best. It is what we use to develop our own sites and our client websites.

16. How can I modify flash portion of the template?

You need to use Macromedia FlashTM to edit animated parts of the template.

17. When I try to open the flash fla file, I get an error Unexpected file format.

This means that .fla file is incompatible with your Flash version. Please install check the version of Flash you are using against the version listed on the template preview.  If you are using an outdated Flash program with a much newer template build, then you may have to upgrade your program.


18. Can I edit flash template in Swish?

No. Our flash templates can be edited only with Macromedia Flash.


19. Can I change the pictures on the flash animated website and put my own pictures instead?

Yes, you can.


20. What is the best place to find photos/images for modification of my template?

If you trust us for your templates, then trust us for you website graphics too. Pro ClipArt is our own graphic subscription service.


21. Is it possible to use your templates to develop websites for my customers?

Yes. It is perfect for designers who want to offer their customers a high-quality design and also save time and money. Mind that when you purchase the template with ordinary or exclusive licence you're entitled to create only one project (one domain name).


22. Can I put low resolution thumbnails of templates on my website for my clients to choose designs?

Yes, of course.  This is a great way to provide designs to your clients. Then you purchase the template from us.
