Compatibility/Formats

Q.	Are your products compatible with my PowerPoint version?
A.	Our products work with PowerPoint 97, PowerPoint 2000, and PowerPoint 2002 (or XP).

Q.	Is my computer and software compatible with your PowerPoint Templates?
A.	Our Products are compatible with Windows 95/98/2000/NT/XP Mac. Operating systems and PowerPoint Versions: 97, 2000 or 2002. Backgrounds may be used with all PowerPoint versions.

Q.	What File Format is the download?
A.	The download is a zipped folder (.zip) containing a folder of templates (native POT format), a folder of Backgrounds (.jpg at 72 dpi), and help files explaining how to install.

Q.	What are the Terms of Use under our License?
A.	Your download includes a Single User License. For Special Rates on Multi-user licensing (such as educational or corporate use). You cannot resell purchased templates in any form. Overwice if you're a website owner there is an ability to resell our templates trought your website and earn commissions. Please visit this link for more information.

Purchasing/Downloading

Q.	How Fast can I begin using Templates and Backgrounds?
A.	Right Now! You can download products immediately after purchase.

Q.	I can't seem to find my download. Where is it?
A.	By default, your download should be found in the "My Documents" folder (unless the default folder has been changed). If the Download is not there, please go to "Search" under your "Start" button. There you can search for ".zip" (all of our downloads end in .zip). The name of your download should be similar to the following file name: ppt_temp16.zip (for single templates).

Q.	I can't open my download file (.zip)?
A.	You need decompression software, don't worry, it's free to use. Go to: http://www.winzip.com/downhome.htm. Here you can download shareware that will help you open the .zip file.

Templates & Backgrounds

Q.	Where do I put the PowerPoint Template Files?
A.	In your download there are Powerpoint Template Files (.pot). To install them, simply move those folders to: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates\ .pot files

Q.	How can I browse through the templates or backgrounds outside of PowerPoint?
A.	For fast access to the Gallery/Thumbnail files, open the readme file that comes with your download. You'll find a link to a browser based (html) thumbnail gallery.

How to Use Templates

Q.	How do I apply a template to my existing presentation?
A.	1. Open your presentation. 2. Select "Apply Design Template" from the "Format" menu. 3. Select the template you want and click "Apply"

Q.	How do I apply a template to a new presentation?
A.	1. Select "New" from the "File" menu. 2. Select "Apply Design Template" from the "Format" menu. 3. Select the template you want and click "Apply"

Q.

How do I use the print slides to print handouts?

A.

For Color Printer: 1. Select the slide(s) you want to print from your presentation. 2. Click "Format" menu and select "Background". 3. Under "Background Fill", click the down arrow, "Fill Affects", then click the "Picture" tab. 4. Click "Select Picture", find the folder with the print slide you want, and then click the file name, and click "OK". 5. To apply changes to the current slide, click "Apply". For all slides, click "Apply To All". For B/W Printer: The directions below start out by making a copy of your presentation. This way you will have one copy for presenting and one copy used strictly for printing. 1. Click the "File" menu and select "Save As..." 2. Create a new name for this copy of your presentation (like: my_presentation_copy.pot) and push "OK". 3. Click the "View" menu and select "Master" and then select "Slide Master". 4. Click the "Insert" menu then select "Picture" then selet "From File". 5. Select the file ending with "_3.jpg" (example: Turquoise_3.jpg) and click "OK". 6. Select the image (by clicking on it) and then click the top icon in the Drawing Toolbar (draw icon) and select "Arrange" and then select "Send To Back". 7. Now you can "Print" and "Save" this file. You now have a copy of your presentation you can use strictly for printing on a black and white printer.

Templates vs. Backgrounds?

Q.

What's the difference between templates and backgrounds?

A.

Templates are "pre-made" presentation shells. When you apply a template to your presentation, the Title Master and Slide Master (text slide or secondary slide) are already available for you to insert text. The typeface and font color and size are already set. There is also a print slide available to be used as an alternate background for printing. (For how to, see this.) Backgrounds are just the .jpg images sold seperately from our template volumes. Users who purchase just the backgrounds should feel comfortable formatting and designing their presentations from scratch, including: . Creating title and slide master pages . Choosing proper placement and size of text . Selecting the proper typefaces and styles for Headings, Subheads, and Body copy . Creating their own custom color palettes, custom bullets, etc.

Q.	How can I become a template reseller?
A.	To become an affiliate fill the our registration form You will get a confirmation of the acceptation of your registration within 24 hours. You will receive all necessary instruction on working in our affiliate program in the confirmation message.

Q.	How much does it cost to join the affiliate / reseller program?
A.	Joining our affiliate program is free of charge.

Q.	Can I sell your products trought my website?
A.	Yes, you can. You can customize the web pages on which our products are displayed in a way that they would maximally fit into your website's design. You will receive all instructions how to customize your website for selling our products in an email, after receiving confirmation of your registration in the affiliate program.

Q.	How will I track the visits and the sum of money I make?
A.	Your workplace has the "Statistics" section. It contains complete information about the visitors you attracted to the PoweredTemplates.com website. The sums of purchases they make and the money you receive can be tracked in the "Finance" section.

Q.	What will happen if I place the banners on more than one website?
A.	You can place the banners and links on any number of websites, the only thing you should not change is their code. We will track the visits from your links and log visits and purchases statistics.
