The S-Type successor will be the first Jag to hit the road under new post-Ford ownership, and it was a key driver in convincing India's Tata Motors that the troubled British brand, along with sibling Land Rover, were worth the dough (a reported $2 billion or so). Can this one solitary cog, even as handsome as it is, restart Jag? |

It’s been more than a month since Microsoft announced its initial bid to buy Yahoo for $44.6 billion. That’s led to a lot of speculations and rumors about what is and isn’t happening. But one thing is certain. Yahoo isn’t ready to shake hands with Microsoft yet. |

(Fortune) -- As anticipated, Apple announced a series of software developments Thursday to make the iPhone more useful to business customers while venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers said it is starting a $100 million "iFund" to finance startups developing applications for the iPhone. |

At least eight people were slain today by a terrorist who infiltrated a Jewish seminary in Jerusalem, authorities say. The gunman was also killed. The attack comes amid continuing Israeli-Palestinian violence. After the seminar attack, celebratory gunfire was reported in Gaza. |
